Colorado State Veterans Home at Rifle

Located on Colorado's western slope in the scenic Colorado River valley, Rifle offers a mild climate, with plenty of clean mountain air and beautiful blue skies,  Amidst this setting, the State Veterans Nursing Home at Rifle provides 100 beds of skilled nursing care, including a 16-bed Special Care Unit for residents with Alzheimer's Disease or related conditions.

Each room is individualized to provide residents with maximum privacy and each resident has a window and individually controlled heating and air conditioning. The facility includes three spacious dining rooms pleasant common areas, a large covered patio and two enclosed courtyards. Services available to residents include extensive activity programs, onsite veteran and social services, library services, cable TV, and transportation to medical appointments.

Rifle is located at a comfortable elevation of 5,700 feet, 189 miles west of Denver and 60 miles east of Grand Junction at the intersection of I-70 and State Highway 13.
