Homeownership

The Colorado Department of Human Services, Supportive Housing and Homeless Programs (SHHP) initiated the Section 8 homeownership program in January 2000. The program provides eligible families who receive Section 8 tenant based rental assistance through SHHP the option of using their voucher toward the purchase of a home.
