The devastating tornado of May 22 in Windsor virtually destroyed that community’s Windmill Early Learning Center. CDHS Child Care Division Director Rosemarie Allen contacted Lakeshore Learning Materials to inform them of Windmill’s needs, resulting in the company stepping up with this generous contribution of a truckload of supplies including high chairs, cribs, tables and chairs, games and classroom materials, plus a $1000 cash donation for the purchase of additional supplies. The value of the donation, including packing and shipping by UFC. Lakeshore Learning Materials, founded in the 1950s and based in Carson, California, is the nation's largest supplier of early learning materials.
