We are FDP - The Food Distribution Programs section of the Colorado Department of Human Services. We are part of the Office of Self-Sufficiency and the Division of Food and Energy Assistance.
On behalf of the USDA, we administer the logistics of the USDA Commodity Food Program for the United States Department of Agricultural. In a nutshell, we are responsible for getting USDA Commodity Food from the ranchers and farmers of America to School Children, Needy Families, and the Homeless.
We work closely with the local office of the USDA and with two partner agencies in Colorado State Government:
