
COLORADO MENTAL HEALTH INSTITUTE AT FORT LOGAN

CMHI at Fort Logan is one of Colorado's two state psychiatric hospitals. The hospital, along with CMHI at Pueblo, are under the direction of the Colorado Department of Human Services. CMHI at Fort Logan is licensed by the Colorado Department of Health, and approved for Medicaid and Medicare. CMHI at Fort Logan is a training institution and has internship programs for psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, registered nurses, recreational, occupational and music therapists, as well as for pastoral education.
Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan is accredited by the Joint Commission. Joint Commission accreditation is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization's commitment to meeting performance standards. Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan will be the recognized leader in providing mental health services for persons with complex, serious and persistent mental illness using a broad-based continuum of care.
This requires that Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan:

• Continue as a center for learning, training and research Maintain a role as a safety net within the public sector
MISSION
The mission of the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan is to provide the highest quality mental health services to persons of all ages with complex, serious and persistent mental illness within the resources available.

The Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan as an integral part of the community serves a vital role in providing mental health services to children, adolescents, adults and older adults and their families.
